From Old To New, We Have The Music
Our fully computerized music library is updated each and every week with all the newest radio-edited (censored) tracks. We receive our music from the same subscription service as many of the radio stations. So, simply put, if you hear a new song on any of the mainstream radio stations, we'll usually have the song within the week. With 12,000+ song titles, the newest music is only a portion of our collection. We also carry a huge collection of classic hits from most every genre, in most every era. From hip-hop to pop, country to rock, our music selection is designed with you in mind!

All Digital, All The Time
Just like the other aspects of our service, we’ve implemented leading edge DJ technology to make your event perfect. Every DJ system we operate is fully computerized using only the highest quality digital song files played back through the industries best DJ software for pristine music fidelity. Also, our computerized music library allows us more control over our collection which allows us to access requests quicker, carry a larger music collection than with traditional CDs, eliminate skips and scratches, and most importantly, spend less time looking for CDs and more time picking the best songs to keep your crowd involved. Furthermore, we acquire all of our music legally through the industry’s most reputable professional music subscription service, the same service used by many of the top radio stations. You’ll benefit from our investment in technology with instant guest requests (at your discretion, of course), a huge music library, and an incredible live DJ performance.

Reliable Performance
If you’re worried about reliability in our computer based system, don’t be. As a pioneer in the field of computerized mobile DJs, Thunder & Lightning has been a software based DJ for over eight years—that’s longer than any other DJ in Iowa. We also invest heavily in top-of-the-line equipment to ensure only the highest in quality and reliability. But, in the rare event that a component of our system was to break down, we have implemented a complete and capable backup system so the music (or lighting) won't stop.
